Accelerated Reader: all students
Study Skills Class: 150 students. 6th – 8th grades
One semester each of ELA and math for students who scored “Approaching Basic” or “Unsatisfactory” on standardized tests.
After School Tutoring: 75 sixth and seventh grade students (To begin January 2010)
By Boys and Girls Clubs through 21st Centruy grant. Students referred by teachers, then open to fill class. Homework help, remediation, social skills.
Pullouts: (Start December)
Pullouts from PE for ELA and social studies help. Students grouped by curricular strand on iLEAP or LEAP. Two times per week until state tests. Versatile Kits.
LEAP Remediation Power Hour: All students. To begin January 19.
Homeroom extended 25 minutes to work on test released items.
